CSS has introduced a new line of high end DIY drivers for the home and car audio markets. The LD25X is the first in this new series of drivers set to change the game for DIY enthusiasts. The silk dome diaphragm offers a smooth sound that's accurate without sounding harsh. The low distortion XBL motor technology found in many of the other CSS drivers makes it's first appearance in tweeter form. The tweeter is chambered and uses powerful neo magnets to keep the motor force high but also keep the mounting depth low (for you car audio guys). The faceplate is solid aluminum rather than plastic that many other tweeters are made from. This might seem trivial at first but in cabinet designs where the woofer (or woofers) and tweeter share an airspace, a weak flange is a point of failure with regards to getting a proper seal.
